What is bloodstop spray?
Blood stop is a spray with hemostatic powder. It is made of particles from a blood-clotting substance, based on hydrogenated calcium salt of oxidized cellulose. Bloodstop can be used generally to stop the bleeding from superficial wounds such as lacerations and abrasions at sports, workplaces and at home.
How do I use bloodstop spray?
Shake the bottle before use. Clean and dry the skin. Spray directly on the injured area. Do not remove the layer of soaked blood. Spray from a distance of 10-15 cm. The propellant evaporates before the powder reaches the wound, therefore adheres only the hemostatic powder into the wound. Shake the bottle thoroughly before each use.If the spray goes away with the blood, the wound is too deep and the blood flow must be stopped by adding pressure above the injury and medical care may need to be consulted.
